This beautiful Sedum grew in a raised be in my old garden where I grew rock garden plants. I don't remember whether it had always been there or whether it popped up one year. I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not, I thought the flower colour wasn't very exciting and I didn't have a name for it, so I left it behind when I moved. I sorely regret it now. I think this is the ruprechtii subspecies of orpine, although photos on the web are not in agreement on how purple the foliage is on that subspecies.
