Mossy saxifrage is native to Iceland and common in most regions. Like other saxifrages it prefers moist, yet well-drained soil and tolerates part-shade. I collected the plant in SW-Iceland and decided to try it in my garden. It is safe to say that it is flourishing, very vigorous and quite pretty as well. A very hardy plant.
