Chestnut-leaved rodgersia is a medium sized perennial, that forms a wide mound of large, palmately divided foliage. The leaves are bronze tinged as the emerge, but turn green as they mature. The flowers are small, cream coloured, in large panicles. It doesn't flower every year, the plant is grown for the foliage. It is hardy and easy to grow, but prefers moist soil.
