Alpine pasque flower is a low growing alpine that grows best in sun and well drained soil. It can tolerate partial shade. It often grows in lime-rich soil in it's native habitat in mountains in Central- and S-Europe, but has grown well in my garden without supplemental lime. The flowers are white with a violet tinge on the revers. Hardy, given good drainage.
