Showy polemonium is a pretty rock garden plant that flowers in late May and into June. The flowers are violet with a yellow throat. It has a sprawling habit and needs a good amount of space. It is native to mountains in NW-America and needs good drainage and full sun. It is moderately hardy and can be short lived.
