Moss phlox or creeping phlox is a nice, mat forming rock garden plant that needs full sun and well drained, gritty soil to thrive. I had a plant with hot pink flowers, but they can also be lilac, white and a variety of pink shades. It grew well in a raised bed in full sun for a number of years.
