'Rún' is one of two self-seeded dead nettle crosses between the species, L. maculatum and 'Beacon Silver' I discovered in my garden a few years ago. This one has the foliage markings of the species and the flower colour of 'Beacon Silver'. The other one is the exact opposite, with the foliage colour of 'Beacon Silver' and the flower colour of the species. I named them after my daughters' middle names. A very nice plant that is just as hardy and shade tolerant as the parents.
