Dead nettle is a shade tolerant ground cover with silver variegated foliage. The flowers are magenta and each leaf has a silver stripe down the middle. It spreads slowly and self seeds moderately. It crosses easily with other varieties of the species and I've discovered a number of nice crosses in my garden.
