Sheep's bit scabious belongs to the bellflower family although it doesn't bear much resemblance to bellflowers. The flowers are small, in a globe-shaped cluster with narrow, blue-violet petals. It should be perennial but the plant I grew from seed many years ago, didn't live. It needs good drainage and plenty of sun.
