'Obsidian' is a variety of coral bells with very dark maroon-black foliage. The undersides of the leaves are reddish purple. I bought this plant last August and overwintered it in my greenhouse, so there is no experience of growing it outside yet. These Heuchera hybrids need well drained, humus-rich, fertile soil and can not tolerate wet, heavy soil.
