'Flore Plena' is a lovely variety of liverleaf with tightly double, violet flowers. It is more vigorous than the species, with larger leaves and is smothered in flowers in May. It grows best in humus-rich, well drained soil in partial shade. The flowers are sterile so the plant can only be propagated by division.
