Liverleaf is a dainty woodland beauty that flowers at the same time as the leaves start to emerge, usually in late April. The flowers are violet with white stamens that resemble a string of pearls in the center of the flower. It grows best in humus-rich, well drained soil in partial shade. A hardy plant that is unaffected by spring frosts.
