Dusky cranesbill has a very understated beauty to it. The flowers are small, burgundy with a white center. The leaves are mat with burgundy or chocolate markings that can be absent or vague. They are very distinct on the variety 'Samobor', which is more desirable than the species. It is very hardy and not fussy about the soil. It self seeds generously.
