Marsh cranesbill has very bright magenta flowers with darker veins. The petals are shimmering like the bloody cranesbill. It is hardy and not picky about the soil it grows in, but it prefers moist soil as the name implies. It can grow in sun or partial shade. It can self-seed moderately, but not so much as to be a nuisance.
