Poet's shooting star is my favorite shooting star species. The flower colour can vary, but my plant has lilac pink flowers that seem to glow. The foliage is larger than on other shooting stars, with broad leaves forming a fairly large clump. It is hardy and grows in most soil types as long as the soil is not too dense. It tolerates more drought than other shooting stars after flowering, but prefers moist soil during the flowering period.
