Foxglove is a biennial, but can maintain itself with self-seeding. It is hardy and in adequate shelter it doesn't need support. It sets a lot of seed and can self-seed prolifically if left unchecked, It is therefore advisable to cut the flower stalks and only leave a few seed pods to ripen.
Highly toxic plant.
