Himalayan daisy is, as the name implies, native to the Himalayas. The cool summers here in Iceland are ideal, but it needs very well drained soil as the wet winters are not as ideal. My plant seems to be thriving so far, despite the wet winters. It flowered for the first time in 2019, in mid June, and was quite stunning while in flower. It grows in fertile soil mixed with fine pumice for drainage and receives sun for a large portion of the day. This species seems to be very variable in appearance and according to the FB page of the Botanical garden in Tromsö it can hybridize with species from the genus Ligularia.
