A pretty rock garden plant native to the Caucasus. Given the right conditions, gritty soil and a sunny location, it grows quite well here. The leaves are in a basal rosette and the flowers are single on about 10 cm tall flower stalks. They are fairly large, violet-blue with a white center. A plant that grabs your attention while it's in bloom.
