'Rauði risinn' (Red Giant) is a self-seeded cross that appeared in the garden of Ólafur Björn Guðmundsson. Seed from the original plant was offered on the seed list of the Icelandic Garden Society and that's how I got my plants. It doesn't come 100% true from seed, but common characteristics of all the plants are height around 150 cm or over and a unique raspberry pink colour of varying shades. It self seeds a little and among the seedlings that I believe are descended from it is a very tall plant with pale pink flowers which I named 'Blushing Giant'.
